Mammary Areola: Restoring Confidence and Beauty

Mammary Areola, also known as nipple reconstruction through dermopigmentation treatmentis a transformative treatment designed to enhance the appearance of the breast, particularly after significant surgical procedures.

There are two primary types of nipple reconstruction: 1. Partial Reconstruction: This method is employed to address asymmetries, conceal scars, and improve the overall appearance of the areola. 2. Total Reconstruction: Ideal for those who have undergone a complete mastectomy, this technique involves recreating the entire areola from scratch.

This versatile technique can effectively address various breast imperfections, including:

  • Periarecolar scars Those encircling the areola can be concealed.
  • Areola Hypochromia The natural pigmentation of the areola can be restored.
  • Small Areolas The size of the areola can be enlarged to achieve a balanced appearance.

Mammary Areola also accommodates specific cases where partial reconstruction of the areola is required, such as:

  • Symmetry Enhancement: Balancing asymmetrical areolas.
  • Contour Refinement: Recreating a more regular and defined areola contour.
  • Pigmentation Enhancement: Adding depth to pale or faded areolas.

Partial reconstruction typically involves two sessions spaced 30 to 45 days apart. In contrast, the total reconstruction process may require a variable number of sessions, assessed on a case-by-case basis. Periodic touch-ups are subjective, varying from 12 to 18 months following the initial treatment. In the realm of Mammary Areola, the objective is not just physical restoration but also the restoration of confidence and self-esteem.

Clearing some doubts

Is the treatment painful?

The perception of pain is highly subjective and varies from person to person.

Drawing from my experience, I can assure you that the use of readily available desensitizing products, combined with state-of-the-art equipment, helps mitigate any slight discomfort.

Who Is Eligible for the Procedure, and What Are the Contraindications?

Contraindications are primarily linked to specific medications, ongoing chemotherapy, or allergies. It is essential to communicate any such concerns during the consultation phase.

How Can I Ensure That the Practitioner Adheres to Appropriate Standards?

Rest assured that all pigments used are certified, and disposable needles are employed, guaranteeing strict adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

How Many Sessions Are Typically Required for Optimal Results?

Typically, two sessions, spaced approximately 40 days apart, are recommended for most individuals, especially those with particularly oily or sensitive skin. In some cases, a third session may be necessary to reinforce the work, followed by 2 to 3 annual sessions to maintain the desired results.

Why Does the Color Appear So Dark Immediately After the Procedure?

It's essential to understand that the color may initially appear darker than desired. However, within approximately one week, it will gradually fade, revealing a very delicate and natural tone.
